WHY DOES MY BREAKER KEEP TRIPPING?

  • It may have too much load. (Too many things plugged into that circuit)
  • There may be an arc fault or ground fault. (If GFCI or AFCI breaker)
  • There may be a short circuit (Can cause a fire).
  • The breaker may be old and need to be replaced.

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN A RECEPTACLE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED?

  • If it sparks or plugs are loose
  • If there are burn marks on the outlet’s face
  • If there is no ground (only two prongs instead of three)
  • If it is buzzing, smoking or melted

HOW CAN I SAVE MONEY ON MY ELECTRIC BILL?

  • Upgrade from incandescent (standard) light bulbs to L.E.D. bulbs
  • Use only the lights in the room that you are in.
  • Turn off or unplug appliances/devices when not in use.
  • Use a programmable or intelligent thermostat to keep the heat or air conditioning on only when someone is home.
